World Time Attack Challenge 2024

The World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC) 2024 has confirmed rotary nut and drifting icon Mad Mike, and he is coming in hot! This year he's bringing a battle-tested weapon – his infamous four-rotor Mazda 3, transformed into the fire-breathing, time-attacking BULLET.

This isn't your average family car. Forget grocery runs. The BULLET is a track monster, still bearing the scars of its triumphant conquest at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where he walked away as the fastest Mazda and fastest rotary-powered car to ever conquer the Colorado summit.

WTAC veterans will remember Mad Mike's epic battles in his iconic rotary-powered Mazda RX-7, a car that redefined drift machines. But Mad Mike has a new challenge on his hands: dominating the unforgiving asphalt of Sydney Motorsport Park at WTAC 2024 in a car built for hillclimb, and now re-engineered to slide!

The Mazda 3 BULLET retains the familiar silhouette of a Mazda 3, but the resemblance ends there. Underneath the sleek body lies a monstrous 2.6-liter, twin-turbocharged rotary engine, the same powerplant that propelled it to record-breaking times at Pikes Peak. Known for his ability to be heard before he is seen, Mad Mike promises to get the flames and trumpets going as he unleashes all 1,400 horses at Sydney Motorsport Park.

While the BULLET still boasts Mad Mike's signature Red Bull livery, he has surprises up his sleeves for the crowds of WTAC. The exact details are yet to be revealed, but one thing's for sure: Mad Mike isn't here to play nice. He's here to conquer the tarmac and rewrite the WTAC record books with his legendary rotary power. Will he do it sideways or will he set the clock ablaze on a time attack lap? You'll just have to find out in August!
